Bluedrop Awarded LMS Contract with Department of National Defence, Expands Presence in New Brunswick

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

Bluedrop is pleased to announce that it has been contracted by the Department of National Defence to work with the Combat Training Centre, Training Enhancement Branch, in Gagetown, New Brunswick, on the continued development, expansion, and management of their e-training Courseware. DNDLearn, the Canadian Forces’ web-based training program, facilitates high-level, engaging, effective, and consistent individual training of Canadian troops regardless of location.

Bluedrop consultants, with their expertise in harnessing new technologies to create innovative Learning Management Systems (LMS), will join the DND Courseware Development team to respond to the growing and evolving need for accessible and advanced individual training within the Land Force.

With the value of this contract approaching $2 Million, the fast-growing Fredericton office, added to Bluedrop’s roster of locations across North America in March of 2007, will effectively double in size as an employer. Bluedrop is proudly cementing its position as a full-service performance learning company within the expanding New Brunswick e-Learning business community by welcoming Gagetown-employed web developers to round out its already well-established team of experienced project managers, instructional designers, and quality assurance specialists.

“We are aware of the leadership role that Business New Brunswick has taken in establishing an Advanced Learning Technologies Centre of Excellence,” states Bluedrop President and CEO Emad Rizkalla. “We applaud them on such an approach and look forward to contributing significantly towards this vision.”
